Noni
There are two species of Noni. Noni citrifolia is native to Malaysia, Australia, and Polynesia. Noni officinalis grows in India, the Philippines, and throughout Southeast Asia. Noni is a deciduous creeping vine with twining stems and white flowers. Growers harvest its large, thick, intertwined purple roots in the spring and fall for use in herbal medicine. When boiled to make a tea, the roots yield a characteristic yellow pigment. Both species are used to make noni juice.
Noni is a fruit that grows in tropical areas, especially in Polynesia. The noni tree bears fruits year round. Noni fruit has been known and used for centuries by the Polynesians as a preferred health tonic. The scientific name for noni is Morinda Citrifolia. To this day, Polynesians consider the plant to be very beneficial in preserving healthy bodies.
NONI USES
Noni has been used for hundreds of years to support the entire body and to treat a wide range of symptoms, including poor digestion, high blood pressure, respiratory problems, and immune deficiency. Noni stimulates male sexual function, helping to treat impotence and increase fertility, and also is useful for treating menstrual problems. This herb increases energy, stamina, and endurance.
Rich in vitamin C, Noni provides natural antioxidants that support the kidneys, increasing the flow of urine to flush toxins from the body. It works to correct problems with the structure of proteins and cells. Working at the cellular level, Noni solves problems within the body ranging from cancer to digestive distress.
Benefits of Noni for specific health conditions include the following:
Depression - Laboratory studies have found that Noni is an antidepressant herb with the unique property of increasing, rather than diminishing, male sexual function. Chinese scientists have identified the antidepressant compounds in Noni as two sugars, inulin and nystose, and succinic acid, a compound created from simple sugars. The xeronine in Noni opens brain receptor sites, allowing the brain to receive more of the hormone endorphin, which brings the feeling of well-being.
Menstrual problems - Noni also helps smooth out irregular menstrual periods. The scientific reasons for this action are not clear, although traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners have prescribed Noni for almost 2,000 years in such cases. They most commonly prescribe the herb to women who also have either cold or pain in the back or pelvic region, along with frequent urination or urinary incontinence.
Rheumatoid arthritis. Noni reduces pain and swelling, clearing inflammatory conditions and strengthening weak bones and ligaments. Many people with rheumatoid arthritis have reported a rapid increase in the ability to walk.
What systems of your body could possibly benefit from drinking Noni juice?
Immune system: supports the system to fight disease and infection.
Circulatory system, tissues, and cells: Noni juice is a superior antioxidant that helps rid the body of harmful radicals, and increases energy levels.
Digestive system: supports proper digestion and helps you absorb more nutrients at the cellular level.
Skin and hair: Noni juice contains components that are specifically important to the skin and hair.
IS NONI JUICE A MEDICINE?
No, it is not. It is a dietary supplement. You could have it without any prescription. Therefore, the manufacturer, wholeseller, and distributors does not prescribe, recommend, nor give advice about 100% pure noni juice as a cure, remedy or treatment for any medical condition or illness. In the meantime, there is also no risk of using it because of some side effects usually happening to other medicines, no matter how good they are.
CONSIDERATIONS
Noni is available in capsule and tea forms. For capsules, the recommendation is to take Noni with meals three times daily. Noni works slowly. It must be taken consistently for a period of six to eight weeks before results can be seen. TCM practitioners warn that the herb should be avoided if there is dribbling or difficult urination.
