Peppermint Oil is an essential oil, meaning it contains the essence of peppermint leaves. This oil is 100% pure, USP undiluted, and the highest grade available. Peppermint was widely used by the ancient Greeks and Romans, and may have been cultivated by the Egytians. The term "mint" is from the Greek Mintha, a mythological nymph trasformed into a plant by the godess Persephone after she learned of her husband's love for her. Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita) can be used as a fragrance, for flavorings, or as a skin conditioning oil. This oil is very potent and can be used when mixed with other oils or creams.
