Olympian Labs Uplift contains Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract and 5-HTP (derived from the seed of the African plant, Griffonia simplicifolia) as its major active ingredients. These ingredients are both known for their anti-depressant and anti-stress actions.

In this Uplift formula, they work on the weak and reversible MAO-inhibitor activity of its Ginkgo ingredient which acts by inhibiting the enzymatic degradation of the serotonin that is formed from its 5-HTP ingredient. By inhibiting the MAO-mediated breakdown of the serotonin that is formed from its precursor (5-HTP), Ginkgo extract enhances the action associated with increased serotonin content of the brain.
